Scenario
You are a business analyst at an electronics manufacturer. The Director of Operations for your organization has requested a process to reduced cost of production for all product lines by 40% over the next 2 years by applying continuous improvement.
Instructions
Create a 2 – 3 page memo that details the goal of reducing production costs for all product lines by 40% over the next 2 years. The memo needs to answer how the changes will be implemented to reassure stakeholders that the business process transformation will be smooth, and ultimately allow them to complete their job faster, more accurately, and with less effort.
Include the following:
· How improvement opportunities will be identified.
· That changes will be implemented slowly on a small scale.
· That data will be used to track the results of the change and determine whether it made a difference.
· If the change was successful, implement it on a wider scale and continuously assess the results. If the change did not work, new improvement opportunities will be searched out and the process will begin again.
· If references are used, they must be cited and listed in APA format at the end of the memo.
